Stensolo is well on his way to settling into his cutting-edge, and proving popular, new style.
He has been through an impressive experimental phase, starting out with hand-painted, acrylic portraits of icons which have developed into definitive, street-art looking stencils that he is aiming to complete in the “least number of cuts.” ‘Lydia’ and ‘Bale’ are two paintings that he specifically mentions when speaking about the elements that are fundamental to Stensolo’s work, and claims he is going to do “more like those two.”
He has just today; cut a striking, mirror image of the extremely stylish, award-winning,
Bruce Willis, looking very snazzy in his suit jacket and suggestive, next-day stubble.
His debut Shanghai exhibition marked the end of his two-year ‘residency’ here. But don’t worry; this is not the end of Stensolo. This is only the beginning.
Watch this space for upcoming and exciting new creative projects, including the soon-to-be released - “Stensolo Tease.”
Oh, and he also wanted me to clarify - Stensolo’s not trying to be better than Banksy. Just different.
